Wearable Art: Earring making with Singleuse Multiverse

$120.00

Saturday 12 September | 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Grab someone you like a lot and Join us for a playful afternoon of creativity, colour and transformation as local artist Jess from Single Use Multiverse guides us through the process of creating our own wearable art from recycled single-use plastics. Yay!

Known for her bold, joyful and delightfully quirky jewellery, Jess transforms everyday waste into tiny works of art that are as conversation-starting as they are beautiful.

One of the things I died about most when I met Jess is that she embodies everything we care about at Strange Bird. She's endlessly creative, wildly resourceful and wonderfully open-hearted. The kind of person who can look at something destined for the bin and imagine an entirely different future for it.

Spending time with her reminds you that creativity isn't really about being "good at art". It's about curiosity, play and seeing possibilities where other people don't.

We're very lucky to have her join our flock. 🪿

What well do:

In this hands-on workshop you'll learn how to cut, shape, layer and assemble recycled plastics into a pair (or two!) of unique statement earrings. Along the way, Jess will share her creative process, tips and techniques, and the inspiration behind her colourful sustainable practice.

No experience necessary. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment.

As always, we'll take care of the rest: records spinning, tea brewing, snacks on the table and a room full of people making things together.

You'll leave with your own handcrafted earrings and the satisfying knowledge that you've turned something destined for landfill into something worth wearing.
